DESCRIPTION:Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in Alaska\, the Museum will be open by appointment only Thursdays\, Fridays\, and Saturdays December 3 – 19. \nReserve a 2.5-hour timeslot on Eventbrite for you and anyone in your household/pod to visit the Pratt Museum between December 3 and 19 on a Thursday\, Friday\, or Saturday. Groups may not be larger than 10 per reservation. \nYou will need to purchase tickets or share museum member information at the museum upon arrival for your visit. \nMasks are required\, and we ask that you adhere to social distancing protocols with anyone outside your household/pod\, such as a museum staff member or volunteer. No other groups will be scheduled during your timeslot. \nWe look forward to welcoming you to the museum!

DESCRIPTION:Co-hosted by the Pratt Museum and Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies\, this is a Zoom-based story circle. \nWaves & Ripples: A Community Story Circle About Our Changing Ecosystems \nOur surroundings in Kachemak Bay are subject to near-constant change; each day the landscape of our beaches changes with the tide\, and each year our days become darker and then light again. In this environment of continual change\, how do we recognize the patterns of longer-term shifts to our local ecology? \nThe Pratt Museum and Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies invite you to join us for an evening of community story sharing about the changes we’ve noticed in our local ecology. \nThroughout our time together\, you will be able to share your stories about local ecological changes\, listen to the stories of others\, and make connections with strangers and acquaintances alike. \nThis is all about connecting and learning\, not performing! You do NOT need to be an experienced storyteller to participate.
